Set Like Flint Coaching Groups: Strength Through Surrender

"I have set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame." – Isaiah 50:7

The Christian life is not meant to be walked alone. Yet many Catholic men struggle in silence, carrying burdens they were never meant to carry by themselves.

These groups exist for one reason: to forge men in faith, discipline, and brotherhood —so they can step fully into their calling.

This is not a Bible study. It is a training ground. A place for men who refuse passivity. A place to be sharpened, challenged, and formed through the fire of inner work and accountability.

No Greater Pain

There is no greater pain than living half-heartedly—haunted by the knowledge that God is asking more of you, yet resisting the call to surrender at greater depths. Partial surrender leaves men adrift, even amidst worldly success and achievement.

True fulfillment lies beyond comfort, in answering God’s call to align your will with His in every domain of life. It’s found in deeper love for your family, growth in your purpose, and vitality in your being. When you set your face like flint and embrace God’s will with boldness, pain transforms into purpose, vagueness gives way to clarity, and a quality of love and willingness colors everything you do.

The Coaching Group Framework

  • Inner Work – Face the interior battles that weaken your leadership, clarity, and faith.

  • Bold Action – Give your word. Make commitments you're accountable to honoring. Live with discipline and conviction in every domain of life.

  • Faith & Brotherhood – Be strengthened in Christ, surrounded by men who call you to higher ground.

Real Stories, Real Change

What Men Are Saying

“I joined Matt’s coaching group during a significant period of transition in my life. While building my real estate career, I felt God calling me to step away from my personal goals to help manage and guide a local educational endeavor. Sacrificing my time and energy wasn’t easy, and I obliged somewhat reluctantly. During our sessions, I experienced trust, openness, and encouragement from a group of men who brought their own battles to the table. With Matt’s faithful guidance, we worked through these challenges together. The group’s support helped me transform both the educational endeavor I was leading and my personal and professional life.”

Cameron Edman

“Before joining Matt’s group, I was an entrepreneur chasing goals without a deeper why. I was doing it for wealth, not for the life I truly wanted. I carried stress, bottled up my struggles, and thought my success or failure rested entirely on my shoulders.

Through this group, I found something I didn’t know I needed—brotherhood. I realized my challenges weren’t mine alone. I learned to be vulnerable, embrace the process, and build my business with a purpose beyond myself.

The biggest shift? I’m now more focused on what truly matters—faith, family, relationships. This has not only changed the way I live, but it has transformed the way I do business. I now lead with empathy, connection, and clarity, and my business is thriving because of it. Most importantly, I have a group of men I trust—men who would go to bat for each other in a heartbeat.
